Celebrating Christmas on Winding Way

We had a wonderful day exchanging presents.
Trenton plays with a fishing rod while his dad assembles a toy car garage and Uncle Jay and Grandpa supervise.
Mommy videotapes the action. Trenton knows what presents are all about now!
Ooooo, Sheryl and Jim are thrilled with Uncle Jay's gift - a customized corn hole game.
Casting for a big one.
Well, this isn't what the easel was intended for, but Trenton shows off his acrobatic skills.

Trenton's Christmas Pagent

Trenton received an early Christmas present from each set of grandparents while we exchanged our gifts to each other. His new Spiderman was a huge success! He also likes the Sesame Street ornaments. We had a wonderful visit on Sunday. The snow, sleet and freezing rain turned to rain and we were able to drive to Howell where we enjoyed visiting with Len, Sue, Lenny, Sheryl, Jim and Trenton. Sheryl's crock pot orange chicken dinner was delicious, as Trenton would say. Trenton was the youngest one in the Pagent and was an excellent shepherd.

Trenton was an angel while being a shepherd in the Sunday School Christmas Pagent!

Pictures from Uncle Jay's camera

Uncle Jason certainly enjoyed visiting us for lots of turkey dinner and pie, then visiting Jim and Sheryl for lots of quality time with them and Trenton.

Thanksgiving weekend visit

Trenton loves hanging on to Mr. Incredible.
Getting reacquainted with Uncle Jay was lots of fun.
Daddy hangs Trenton upsidedown!
There's never a dull moment when Trenton's around, he's so much fun, is so cheerful and can let you know whatever's on his mind.
Two of his favorite things to eat, all by himself of course, are oatmeal and yogurt.

40th high school reunion

Roy, John, Cory, Lloyd

We had a good time at John's 40th Cranford High School Reunion last night. His 2 close friends were there - Roy and Lloyd. They enjoyed catching up and reminiscing. John talked with almost everyone and only needed help identifying a couple of people. It was funny - several guys came up to John and said "You look just like your father!" Of course the last time they saw each other was in the late 60s when their hairstyles were long and John's dad wore a flat top. One guy thought John was brother Bob. It was fun for me to hear them reminisce about sports. Some remembered John's dad as their baseball coach and insurance agent. A slide show of yearbook and current photos played the entire time, quite interesting. There were over 400 graduates but only about 50 at last night's get together at the Elks Lodge. More might go to the fancy dinner tonight but we were quite pleased and satisfied to attend the casual evening. Let's do it again in 5 years!

Babysitting Trenton

Trenton, Jim and Sheryl came to visit this weekend. Jim and Sheryl headed off to Kim's rehearsal dinner on Saturday evening.
Whatever it was it sure captivated them!
Look, Grandpa, look.
Now be a good boy for Grandma and Grandpa.
The outdoor wedding was Sunday morning followed by a lavish reception in the afternoon. The highlight was the plentiful, creative, gourmet food and lots of dancing.
Bye Daddy, I'll have lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
How'd he get in there without moving any chairs? Who's he calling?
Laughing, dancing, being silly, all fun stuff to do with grandparents.
Thanks for everything - I especially liked playing with Grover and Big Bird.

A beautiful fall day

Jason took these great pics while in the woods with his father in early November. As you can see, fall was late to arrive this year.

A Day With Trenton

Playtime

Trenton sure knows how to have fun! We had a wonderful day together while Mommy was at her college class.
We played outside before the rain came. He loves to hang and swing like a monkey.
He climbs up all by himself and slides down.
The new patio is a safe place to play.
Trenton liked these gourds. He is so verbal, he can say everything! That makes it easy to be with him and take care of him. He loves to eat all sorts of good food and wants to do it all himself.
