Ahhh, it's a rough life but somebody's got to do it: gin and tonics on the deck with the best water view in all of northwestern Ontario.
We were thrilled when this site opened up just a few days into our stay.
Morning, afternoon, evening - every time of day offered a soothing view.

Gull Rock Lake walleyes are very colorful - dark on top and very bright yellow below with colorful fins.
The fishing was excellent. Our daily catches averaged 60 walleyes in 4 hours!!!! We caught over 850 walleyes (no northerns/pike) in just 13 days! Most days we used just one box of 24 worms, cut in half.
We were blessed with summer weather this year.
Eagles are plentiful all over the lake. This one flew down to the water near our boat and snatched up a fish we'd released that hadn't recovered.
We saw these mergansers in the cove by our site.
Loons are plentiful on the lake. They are hard to photograph because they are always busy diving down for fish. This one was just relaxing one evening near our site.
One evening a beaver swam by. We heard it munching on wood.
"Hey guys, you should try the steroid-enhanced fish diet. It's done wonders for me!"
One morning it was foggy and calm, kinduv spooky looking. After the fog burned off the sun blazed. What a fantastic Canadian fishing summer!!
