A birding first



We were surprised and thrilled today when a flock (12 plus) of cedar waxwings arrived in our backyard. They jockeyed with robins for drinks of water at the birdbaths. It's been so warm the past couple of days that the normally frozen water was thawed. What a rare treat to have these beautiful birds visit us.

wow they are really cool! nice superhero-like masks.. do you think they were there just for a migration pit-stop or did they show up because of the warm weather?

I love cedar waxwings. Trenton and I saw one last week down in VA - cool.
