Four weeks here just flew by! We have enjoyed every minute on the water and onshore. We caught over 1150 fish in 22 days, visited with wonderful people and appreciated the majestic natural world around us. John's holding a 23" walleye he caught on one of our first days here. Most days we were able to fish; only a few bad weather days kept us on land.

I caught this 24 incher the same day - the 4th of July!

As you can tell by my clothing, this day was warm and sunny and was another good day to catch big fish.

This is the first 26 incher John caught.

This 24 incher was fun to catch.

This one was
almost 24 inches.

This one was
almost 25 inches.

A beautiful, calm day.

Another 26 incher!

We love our centrally located site.

This bear was just alongside the road only a few kilometers from here.

This buck was near camp, too.

I caught this 36 inch pike without hooking it. John netted it while it was holding on to the 15 inch walleye that I had hooked!

This is the record holder! This 27 incher was not only the biggest of the trip but also the biggest one we've ever caught on Lac Seul!

We caught many northern pike this trip, some even bigger than this 33 incher but John usually just unhooks them in the water and releases them. We released all the big walleyes and only kept two 15 inchers every other day for dinner. Walleyes are delicious cooked numerous ways.

This is a view of camp from the water. Our site is behind the cabin in the center.

This view of camp shows the fish cleaning house, the owners' home and the bedrock launching ramp. There are more boat docks to the right where we kept our boat.
