Ahhhh, now that's what I call salmon fishing! The salmon are back, not plentiful, but they're here. We caught 4 yesterday! We released 2 and kept 2 for the camp owners. The one above is a beautiful female which weighed 22 lbs. 10 oz.
This male weighed 25 lbs. 15 oz.! We caught them down 60 feet in 85 feet of water with the same hot lures as before. The first hookup was around 8 A.M and our 4th and last around 11 A.M. so it was a busy, productive, exhilarating, exhausting morning!

More amazing photos, guys! But looks to me like the top one is male, bottom one female, by the jaw structure. Either way, two huge beasts!

I think the sex is harder to tell in the summer before they go upriver, no? The jaws look similar to me, though the bottom one does look to have a shorter snout...
Oh, and nice work on the beard, Dad!
