6-Mile Gap Campground on the N. Platte River, Wyoming. It's 6 miles from the Colorado border. We love it here; it's so quiet and peaceful even when all 7 sites are occupied.

Along the Missouri River, far away from civilization

Our camping experiences were extremely varied this summer. The sites varied in cost from $0.00 up to $38 a night! We stayed in a Camping World parking lot, our friends' driveway, a horse pasture, on an air strip, along rivers, at launching ramps, in national forests, in national parks, in state parks, in private campgrounds, and in an RV resort with a pool, hot tub and restaurant. We camped under redwood trees, under cottonwood trees, on mountain tops, on prairies, by cliffs and canyons, by rivers, and by busy interstates. We saw unlimited stars twinkling on a black velvet background, brilliant moonlight, complete darkness, and the bright lights of civilization.
