We shared our site at 6-Mile Gap Campground in Wyoming with a young couple from the Netherlands, Juris and Stella. They were finishing up a year of touring South and North America by bicycle! Their website is http://www.buurma.nl/. They shared many interesting stories of their travels. We were walking around the state park near Mt. Rainier when we spotted a couple in a Lance camper similar to ours. We chatted a while and found out that Norm was originally from our area - Alexandria Township! We know a lot of the people he knew 30 years ago. Just the other day I was at a luncheon and met up with a woman who was in his graduating class. Small world!
On our way into Moraine Park the ranger said, "John, John.... I'm Norman. Our kids played baseball together!" It was just coincidence that brought him to that check-in station that day. We met up with him later that evening and had a nice visit. Small world!
There are many truck campers out west so we became used to seeing them. On our way home we were at a nice RV park in Missouri and began talking with the people in the Lance next to us. Turns out they were in Timber Creek one of the days we were there too. Small world!
