What's so unusual or special about this picture? It's the first time we've ever sat outside while staying here in May!!! The pleasant temps were short-lived though, as cold, windy weather predominated during our ten days here.
This is the very first brown trout we caught this trip.
We trolled for several hours each of the four mornings that we were able to get out. John has a steelhead in his left hand and a brown in his right.
This was one of the warm days.
This was one of the in-between days.
The last day was by far the coldest! The onshore temperature at 6 am was 38 degrees. We caught a total of five chunky smallmouth bass this week.
This steelhead was 26.5 inches long and weighed 12 lbs.! We caught it on our last morning just after we'd decided to call it a day and head in. It's the biggest steelhead we've ever caught. I fought it expertly on one of our smaller rods and John netted it perfectly.
It's so beautiful it's worth another look!
