We are having a wonderful time in Ohio. It was very enjoyable to have Jason with us on the long drive here on Monday. On our first morning we went to get our fishing licenses, then decided to explore camp in the afternoon because the winds were 10-15 m.p.h., too high for fishing. After we'd walked for just a short while we heard thunder and headed back. It rained lightly on us, but we made it to the screenhouse before the downpour began. It was one of the windiest thunderstorms we've ever been in! The internet weather said it could be up to 70 m.p.h.! The camper and screenhouse were just fine, although there were huge puddles everwhere, which took 2 days to dry up.
It was still extremely windy the next morning, so we headed out for a long walk along the harbor to Lake Erie.

The lily pads were huge and sparkled with water droplets.

We saw herons, egrets, swans, a water rat, and many other birds.

Our campsite is big, just right for us with the boat.
