I don't know the name of the reddish brown flower. The others are
teasle - a non-native invasive wildflower.
My last Lake Erie smallie was over 18 inches!
On Wednesday we caught 25 sheephead and 2 smallies. On Thursday we caught 31 sheephead and 2 channel cats over 20 inches. The weather's been clear, hot, and breezy sometimes, so we were able to fish 4 days in a row. We switched from worms to artificial Gulp leeches with a great deal of success. We celebrated our 36th anniversary with a fanastic dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. It's incredibly hot and humid today with thunderstorms predicted so we're not out on the water. The campground is full, like it is every weekend - lots and lots of families having lots of fun. We'll begin packing up tomorrow and leave Monday morning for Niagara, NY.

that sheepshead is ugly as sin, holy crap. probably fights really well, though!
